                                Frequently Asked Questions


Q:  How do I register my team for the LA Fútbol Circuit Spring League?
A:  All Teams must be a 2009-2010 Cal South member in order to particiate in the LA Futbol Circuit.  Once your team is registered via CORIS, the Team Manager or Head Coach must logon to the team and click "Tournament" tab.  Select the "2010 Los Angeles Fútbol Circuit" and click the "Register" button.  This will open your application, which must be completed and fully paid.    

Q:  How does my team join Cal South?
A:  Register your team with an official Cal South Member League of Registration.  Visit our website directory or contact our office to get a listing of local leagues in your area.  http://www.calsouth.com/en/find-a-league/

Q:  Will you close your registration period early?
A:  Yes, once a respective age group bracket is full, additional teams will be placed on a waiting list. 

Q:  What are other Cal South requirements for a team?
A:  All team coaches must have a minimum of Cal South "E" License and "Approved" Risk Management with Cal South. Having two coaches per team is highly recommended.

Q:  Are you accepting Girls team applications? 
A:  Yes, in age groups GU09 to GU19.  

Q:  Do U9 and U10 age groups play 8v8 and on a small-sided field?
A:  U9 will play 8v8.  7 field players and a Goalkeeper on a half a regulation soccer size field. The U10 division will have two brackets, one for 8v8 and the other for 11v11.

Q:  Are teams allowed to play up an age group?
A:  Yes, only one age group, except U8s.  In addition, teams must be properly registered in the appropriate age group prior to the start of the season.   
 
Q:  How will I be contacted if my team is accepted?
A:  Teams will be notified via email.  That is why each team are REQUIRED to have at least two (2) Team Contacts (Minimum of a Head Coach and a Team Manager) with working email addresses.  Additional team coaches and team contacts are permitted.

Q:  Do you play games on Sunday?
A:  No, games will only be schedule on Saturday, unless a need arises to reschedule rain out or makeup games.

Q:  Can my team play in the LA Futbol Circuit, the Presidio Soccer League or the Coast Soccer League at the same time?
A:  No, teams may only compete in one (1) Cal South Sanctioned Gaming Circuit at a time. 

Q:  Does our team need to provide a Referee to compete in this gaming circuit?
A:  No. Game referees are assigned by Cal South.  

Q: Does my team need to provide a field?
A: Yes.  Please send the field availability that is exclusively for your LA Futbol Circuit games. Please allow for a minimum of two games to be scheduled.  Having a home field will not guarantee home games all the time. If your team does not provide a field you will play your home games at a predetermined field chose by the Los Angeles Futbol Circuit Committee.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: 1). Teams that withdraw their team application on or before June 30, 2009, in writing, receive a full refund, subject to a $50.00 application processing fee. No Exceptions.  2). Teams that withdraw their team application on or after July1, 2009, in writing, will receive a 50% refund of their  registration fee, subject to a $50.00 application processing fee.  No Exceptions.
